We construct meaning for all of the people in our lives based on how we believe we understand them. This begins with how they look. However this is often an illusory perspective. Features can change and our brains find that change jarring, revealing the illusion. Consequently, it is betrayed that we do not truly know anyone. Do you think you know this person?
